About the Role
As the Head of Human Resources, you will be a key strategic advisor to divisional leadership teams, executing effective HR solutions aligned with business objectives. You will lead and coordinate all aspects of HR operations across DHG, driving engagement, performance, compliance and cultural alignment. Reporting to the Chief HR Officer, this role is critical in supporting the organisation’s current and future growth through people and capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chief HR Officer in designing and executing the DHG people strategy.
- Lead HR initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness, engagement, and agility.
- Provide expert HR advice to leaders across talent management, recruitment, ER/IR, WHS, and performance.
- Champion change management and organisational design efforts.
- Mentor and coach people leaders to build leadership capability across the group.
- Lead HR operational functions including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Oversee HR compliance and reporting, aligning policies with legislative requirements.
- Foster strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support business outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement across all HR functions, ensuring a high-performance culture.
- Represent HR in workplace health and safety committees and initiatives.
About You
We are looking for a driven and collaborative HR professional who brings both strategic thinking and operational excellence.
- Minimum 5 years’ HR experience, with a strong generalist background
- Exceptional communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of Australian ER/IR legislation
- Proven experience in driving cultural change and organisational development
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- HRIS and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources
- Hospitality, events or tourism industry experience desirable
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
