We are looking for an experience Business Development Manager to join our successful team. This position is based in our Pyrmont head office and will be focused on the Melbourne market. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and generating leads to expand our client base.

The role will work closely with the Sales Manager and marketing team to achieve the sales goals.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Identify and connect with decision-makers (Event Managers, Marketing Directors, HR)
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with the Sales Manager to target and win new business
  • Networking & Partnerships: Attend industry networking events and trade shows to foster new relationships and identify partnership opportunities with agencies and local businesses.
  • Follow-Up: Maintain an effective follow-up process via phone, email, and meetings to nurture leads and close deals.

Your skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in event sales / sales management (preferably across a multi-site event business or multiple hospitality business outlets)
  • Experience of working with sales targets, budgets, client proposals and contracts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Own car and drivers license
