The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and success of our organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, contributing to the continued growth and success of our hospitality group.
Your responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple venues and outlets within the hospitality group.
- Monthly management of accounts including month end, reconciliations, journals, prepayments, and accruals.
- Preparation of Financial Statements; Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cashflow as well as general ledger management.
- Monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Maintain Fixed asset register.
- Consolidation of accounts and intercompany transactions.
- Establish collaborative working relationships with other finance teams and business stakeholders within the organisation.
- Assist the transactional accounting team by providing supervision and guidance, particularly in the areas of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Assist the Financial Controller in strategic planning and decision-making initiatives.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Your qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CA/CPA Qualified or working towards qualification.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience in hospitality industry is beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience with USI or other large ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Team player with a collaborative and proactive approach.
