The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic growing Finance team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and success of our organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, contributing to the continued growth and success of our hospitality group.

Your responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple venues and outlets within the hospitality group.
• Monthly management of accounts including month end, reconciliations, journals, prepayments, and accruals.
• Preparation of Financial Statements; Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cashflow as well as general ledger management.
• Monthly bank reconciliations across multiple entities.
• Maintain Fixed asset register.
• Consolidation of accounts and intercompany transactions.
• Establish collaborative working relationships with other finance teams and business stakeholders within the organisation.
• Assist the transactional accounting team by providing supervision and guidance, particularly in the areas of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Assist the Financial Controller in strategic planning and decision-making initiatives.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Your qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CA/CPA Qualified or working towards qualification.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience in hospitality industry is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with USI or other large ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
• Team player with a collaborative and proactive approach.
